Whale watching from Skjervøy

Welcome to a whale watching tour by RIB boat in the beautiful Arctic area around Skjervøy, and experience an unforgettable day in beautiful nature. Our whale safari starts from Strandveien 96 on Skjervøy and takes you out to look for the majestic whales.

Whale species

Killer whales are social herd animals that often stay together for several generations. They have a black body and a large white spot behind the eye. Killer whales are the largest of the dolphin family and communicate with whistle and pulse sounds that we humans can hear.

The humpback whale can be alone or come as a small herd. They are thick and powerful, black on top and have a distinct hump on their backs. The humpback whale is acrobatic and known for its spectacular jumps over the ocean surface! If you listen, you can hear the whale’s very special whale song. Humpback whales have a large tail fin that they show off when they dive. The tail fin is unique to each individual.

Equipment for the trip

We offer warm outerwear, life jackets, hats and goggles. Remember to wear warm clothes and warm footwear.
